Do you know any good upbeat songs to dance or walk to? I really like rock/pop music. I also like Korean and Japanese music. Artists like The Academy Is…, Secondhand Serenade, Super Junior, All Time Low, Se7en, Arashi, stuff like that. I don’t so much like American r&b but I love Korean r&b. If you know any good songs that are easily danceable or have a good beat for walking then please let me know. Thanks!!

I am going to japan for a year and I want to know the name of some good popular Japanese music artists (so I can buy some CDs). Any genre of music is fine J-rock, J-pop, J-rap, etc.
also any insight about japan from expatriates or others who have spent a significant amount of time there will be most appreciated.
BTW I’m going to Osaka
thanks to all in advance!!!

I’m looking for some Japanese music that has a Blues, Jazz or (Classic) Rock sound to it. Can anyone give me some artists/songs so that I can find some? It doesn’t have to be in those exact genres, but nothing that would sound the equivalent to Pop music or Techno in the USA. Thanks in Advance.
I’m not interested in J-Pop sound, Blues/Jazz or Classic Rock sound.

My daughter is turning 9 this year and will be having a few of her friends in a party room at a hibachi restaurant. While it is my understanding that hibachi grills are mostly an American invention, I would like to incorporated truly Japanese qualities into the rest of the party.
We are starting with origami invitations. I thought about making CDs of Japanese music as favors but I am completely unversed in popular Japanese artists and/or not sure what songs would be good for this crowd.
Any other ideas? Remember these are third grade girls and cheap solutions are always great for Mom!
