I’m just getting into listening to some Japanese music again after a considerable break and I’m looking for some good artists to look up and check out their stuff. My absolute favorite right now is UVERworld, and I also like YUI. I keep up with a lot of anime-related music but a lot of anime music is one-off tracks, I love that one particular song but nothing else the artist has done is similar.
So what are your favorite artists and how would you describe their sound?

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good chinese artists. I’m really into the asian culture especially the music. I’ve found alot of japanese and korean and viet and tagalog. but not im moving on to chinese. yeah i know its funny im black and i like this type of stuff. actually i dont care.
It doesnt matter what genre it is. but i like anything with a good beat.

I know alot of anime soundtracks are around, but I’m talking about stand-alone albums by the artists.
I don’t understand what many English speaking singers say, so the language thing doens’t me. Besides Japanese sounds really nice sung 
I heard that Dir en Grey are going to release their latest album in the US in March. Yeah!

I’ve been listening to japanese music/jpop lately and I really like it. I know groups like morning musume, ketsumeishi, orange range and people, utada hikaru, koda kumi, ayumi hamasaki and otsuka ai. I’d like to download some more songs so any musician would be great. Thanks!

Theres a website called Gendou that allows you to download Japanese music. Artists such as Rie Fu,or Orange Range.
I know that downloading music without downloading it is usually illegal. Im worried that when I try to download music off of it the cops will knock at my door and take me to jail.
